Our History
Coppice House was built in 1875, some years after the opening of the Glasgow to Callander railway line, for the family of a Glasgow doctor, and was originally intended as the family’s summer residence.
The house maintains many of the original fine Victorian features such as elaborate plaster work, high ceilings, and sash and case windows, and is distinguished by its fine central turret.

We were greeted at the door on arrival by Donna with warmth and enthusiasm. You instantly knew we were going to enjoy our stay.
The room was absolutely beautiful.... read more The quality of the bedding and the bed was heavenly. Beautiful soft fluffy towels in the really good shower too.
Before our visit we realised we had booked 'room only'. My husband contacted Donna who instantly said she offered breakfast as an optional extra which was great for us. That turned out to be a fabulous idea as the quality and cooking of the local produce used for breakfast was the best breakfast we have had anywhere for a long time. Brilliant value for money.
Donna was running solo whilst we were there but always ready to chat and offer great suggestions of things to do. We didn't get to meet Jason but you just know they have both sank their hearts into Coppice house and its guests. We look forward to our return.

Breakfast was terrific, and the location is great for strolling down Callander’s high street or as a home base for the area.

The rooms in this property are finished to a very high standard, so if you are looking for a top quality place to stay in the area, Coppice House has to be the choice. It is also well situated, with the town just minutes away by foot. We will be back! More

This was our first stay at Coppice House and it was ideal. I note that some reviews suggest that it is an easy stroll to the town, but I would... read more contend that the house is actually in the town centre anyway, so that is not an issue. There is also ample private parking which is always a bonus. We were warmly greeted on arrival and instant impressions of the house is that it is a charming house, full of character - the sort of house you’d love to own in other words. When I booked here, the only room available was a “small double” and although it was certainly smaller than we usually have, it was perfectly fine. It was beautifully decorated and furnished and we were perfectly comfortable during our two night stay. Because of the current Covid situation the owners have decided that, to ensure the health and safety of their guests, they cannot offer breakfast. We therefore had breakfast in town and the daft thing is that the cafe we had it in was much smaller than the dining room at Coppice House, which kinda negates the point being made. Having said that, I fully respect the decision made by the owners here and it didn’t cause us any inconvenience. No doubt they will review this policy in the coming weeks or months. In summary - this is a splendid B(&B) in an ideal location and run... This was our first stay at Coppice House and it was ideal. The quality of the décor, furnishings and linen... read more was second to none, and the room was spotlessly clean. Donna was the perfect host and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The Coppice House is ideally situated in Callander, and makes an excellent base if you wish to explore the Trossachs. We would highly recommend staying here, and we will certainly stay here on our next visit to the area. More
